Comic Book Evolution
The style with which I have drawn my comic books has evolved a lot, a process that can be seen in the first 9 pages of the Primordial B Plus.
Here are a few side-by side images of old and new versions. The old version now seems hopelessly crude to me, but at the time I thought it was great. There is an even older and cruder version of this story, to which, to my embarrassment, I had proudly added copyright notices to each page!
Seeing the degree of improvement makes me think of how a little delusionality about the quality of one's work can help one to persevere in art:) This also makes me think of how well-known artists might be prevented from exploring new media by the need to maintain their dignity.
